Cash is something you can never have enough of and something that everyone needs. Besides having a regular income from employment, there are many ways to earn a little bit more cash in your wallet. There are also numerous ways to earn additional cash that will serve you well in the future.

Here are 3 ways to earn a nice amount of cash in future years. 


You will need some starting cash and somewhere safe to store these items. Remember that this is a long-term strategy rather than a way to get cash as quick as humanly possible.

Charity Shops, Markets, Goodwill, eBay, House Clearance and Yard Sales are a great place to pick up items with great value. If you have free time at weekends and enough storage space. You can pick up some good items that will increase in value over the years,

The obvious things to look out for are...

1/ Jewellery.

• Rings and Bracelets: These personal items that are no longer required are often sold cheaper than their true value in these places. This is usually because the vendor wants to get cash quickly for their inventory. When you buy jewellery it is always a good idea to check what the item is made from. Some people bring a small magnet with them to check if a ring is actually steel with a gold plate over it, rather than being a pure precious metal. 
• Watches: When a watch is for sale in these places, likely, it is not running properly. This is often rectified by replacing a battery, which in itself is a cheap repair and makes the watch worth its true value. Some antique watches may have complex mechanical parts which are often expensive to repair. Do not overspend on these items as they could wipe out profits and never recoup their initial cost.
• Action Figures: The value of vintage Star Wars figures has proven that children's toys over time, grow in value and there seems to be a ready-made market for vintage classic toys that either reconnect with past generations or never go out of fashion.

2/ Collecting Alcoholic Drinks.

Malt Whisky grows in value.

There have been a few pieces written about the untapped potential of malt whiskies. The vintage wine market is usually the preserve of the elites and some cellars hold more in their walls than the cash reserves stored in your local bank. Special editions of well-known whiskies can grow in value and if there is a well-known story behind it, then their value could skyrocket.

There are many special additions of spirits and wines produced annually. Given the higher alcohol content of these beverages, you do not have to worry about the product spoiling. In some cases such as champagnes, the drink can become a sought after brandy-like drink. 

3/ Vinyl Records.

Records retain their value.

Vinyl records to the purist had never gone out of fashion. Vinyl is the best way to listen to music and vinyl records are coming back into fashion. In the last decade, there has been an increase in record sales and they are now being restocked in supermarkets. Strangely, vinyl records have outlived their replacements such as the cassette and the compact disc. 

Many vinyl record collections go for large amounts of money and there is a growing trade in rare records from all eras. Vinyl records often appear in second-hand shops as people tend to keep their music collection digitally. So by searching out the music of our past, you may be able to make a massive return on your initial investments.
